Give your children one of the greatest gifts… the gift of music!
In our family, music training has played a vital role in our children’s education. It was (and is) our desire to see them each equipped with the ability to play the piano, as well as at least one instrument that they can carry. Through the years, they have been blessed to study under the tutelage of several accomplished musicians, including Susan Dressler, Sarah Hutcheson, Rachelle Whitcomb, Jay-Martin Pinner, Allison Chetta, Annie Gabel, Tracy Ensley, Aubrey Elliott, Sarah Northrop, and Sharon Gerber.
With gratitude to the Lord for His provision and to these incredible teachers for their wholehearted investment into our lives, we are excited to be able to offer a similar opportunity to many of the young people in our local area.

$15.00 per half-hour lesson
As classically-trained musicians, we combine the literature of the Suzuki method, along with many of its teaching principles, with the traditional approach of other beginning methods such as Essential Elements for Strings and the Keys for the Kingdom piano series. Harp technique has an emphasis on the French style.
The individual needs of each child are important to us as we plan the curriculum. We seek to achieve a healthy balance between the necessary emphasis on developmental literature and the preparation for valuable performing opportunities such as orchestra, band, church, and other ministry participation.
Lesson Times – We ask that you arrive at your scheduled time and leave promptly when the lesson is over, to allow every student their full allotted time, and to avoid any disturbance that may disrupt the next student’s lesson. Lessons that start late produce a domino effect on the rest of the day, so we have to end lessons on time even if they’re started late.
Payment – Payment is due at the first lesson of each month. Checks or cash are accepted (if your child needs books and/or other materials, the cost of the item will be added to the following month’s invoice, or will be paid for when the student takes the item home.) Tuition payments made past the deadline are subject to a $15.00 late fee. We, of course, want to work with our families and be as flexible as possible but we are running a business and are trying to keep the book work in order. Also, please write checks (or give cash) for the exact amount of your invoice total. Because of the bookkeeping nightmare that is created when payments are not precise, your teacher will assume that you meant the extra as a “sweet-teacher” tip. If you are unable to attend lessons the first week of the month, please plan to pay cash for your invoice total.
Absences – If we are unable to have lessons on a certain week, we will let you know as soon as possible. Likewise, if the student is unable to come for his/her lesson due to sickness, please let us know as far in advance as possible, so that we can adjust our schedule. A refund will be made on the next month’s invoice. For planned absences (i.e. vacation), we request that you notify us of this at the beginning of the month before your invoice is issued. Because we are holding a slot(s) for you, we will no longer be offering unlimited absences each month, but will allow one un-paid absence per family/month. All other absences, including those not accounted for at the beginning of the month (other than sickness or emergency), will not be discounted from the month’s total, or refunded.
Books/Lesson Materials – As the student progresses, the teacher will inform you when he/she needs a new book or some other learning material. We will order the item for you to save confusion.
Families – We welcome families! Parents/guardians are encouraged to sit in the lesson area with the student (this is strongly recommended, especially for young students, to provide maximum benefit from the lesson during the week). However, since lessons are held in our home, and our family will have school and/or projects going on, we ask that you please keep any children who are not in a lesson either in your vehicle or with you at all times, and that lesson areas be kept quiet. Also, for safety reasons, please do not drop off your student; stay on site during his/her lesson.
If you have any questions, please contact us.
